The great thing about the FRITZO game system is that you have plenty of leeway to put your imagination to work and come up with game ideas of your own. In addition to the game variants in our Rules of the Game instructions, we’ve included a few more ideas here.
If you have constructed an original formation with the cubes or invented your own variant of the game or developed your own ‘house rules’, we’ll reward your efforts with a prize of EUR 50.-

CHECK YOUR CREATIVITY
Exercises recommended by neuroscientists are those that start simple and gradually set higher challenges. The modular game system is built on this principle. Due to the unlimited combinations of cubes, we do not use pre-constructed task cards as in other games.
The philosophy behind the game idea: Unlimited development of the natural game drive. Depending on the number of cubes used, geometric motives, also in 3D format, numbers, letters, animal motives, towers etc. can be built. This game variant offers permanent curiosity training for all ages from 4 years. In addition to the fun factor, concentration, memory, logical thinking and spatial imagination are trained.
WHO IS THE KING OF THE CUBES?
Organize a competition with your friends. One player places a motive of his choice, stops the time and takes pictures of it.The goal of the game: Which player can create the motive in the shortest time?
Number of players: 1+
Duration of a game: No limit
Rules for placing cubes: BEGINNER or CHALLENGES or MIX BEGINNER/CHALLENGES
FRITZO 3D GAME OF TACTICS
Goal: The players use their own three different cube colors to form rows of three cubes.
Number of players: 2 age 12+
Duration of a game : 20 to 30 minutes
Getting ready to play : The 2 players divide the six cube colors between themselves, with each player taking three cube colors as their own. All 27 cubes remain unseen in the bag, and each of the 2 players draws from the bag in turn. Each player uses a sheet of paper and a pen or pencil to keep score.
Order of play : The younger player starts the game by drawing one cube from the bag. The players take turns to place one cube on the board.
Rules for placing cubes: FRITZO CHALLENGES
Distinguishing feature of this variant: Place cubes as follows:
1. Cubes must touch each other on at least one cube face.
2. Only 6 cubes can be placed side by side over the length and width.
3. Once a cube has been placed its position cannot be changed or a different cube substituted for it.
4. Each player has one JOKER of their choice: Once in the course of the game a cube can be placed without the same colors having to face each other. (BEGINNER RULES FOR PLACING CUBES)
5. Cubes can be placed in the horizontal direction only, not vertically.
6. The players immediately write down the points they score.
7. If a player inadvertently makes a row of three in the opponent’s cube colors, the points are immediately credited to the opponent.
8. Gaps in the formation of cubes are of no significance.
Hint: Children up to 12 years of age can also play this 3D game of tactics, in which case 5 jokers are allowed (BEGINNER rules for placing cubes).
Scoring: All visible rows of three on the top faces of the cubes and on the visible side faces score points. Scoring in accordance with the LEVEL ONE scoring rules, see ‘Rules Of The Game’.
End of the game: The game ends when both players have placed their last cube. The player with the higher points score wins. In a game that ends in a draw on points, the winner is the player who succeeded in making the last move.
Important note: Each NEW row of three that includes the NEWLY placed cube counts in the points score.
Example, see photo: Jan has the cube colors violet/pink/orange and has scored 17 points. Laura has the cube colors grey/blue/yellow and is the winner with 23 points.
